Postcards From Home

Postcards From Home is a collection of mostly abstractions.  They represent the number of summers I’ve spent in northern Michigan, though they occasionally come from other places as well.

For years, I used to joke that I was only a photographer for two weeks out of the year, the two weeks I’d spend up at my parents’ cabin in Oscoda.  For me, looking at things as a photograph comes easily, but remembering to actually pull out the camera does not.  We always think we’ll have another opportunity.  Postcards From Home amasses many of my attempts to remember the importance of the phrase “If not now, when?”
